Freddy Oei Witjandra
Campus Staff
My name is Freddy Oei Witjandra. I came to the U.S. from Indonesia in 1985. In 1987, October 2, I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal savior through ICF in Escondido. Since that time, the Lord has put the desire in my heart to serve the ICF ministry to reach out to International Students who come to study in the U.S. Besides learning the Bible through one to one discipleship, the church and small Bible study groups, I took classes from Southern California Bible College, Moody Bible College, and Berean Bible College, and completed my Bible courses from Horizon Bible Institute in Biblical Education. In 1999, a group of students, and leaders from ICF planted the International Christian Church of San Diego. ICCSD was the first church of its kind: an international church for international students run by international students and residents to provide intense training to equip and send students out to impact the world for Christ. In 2001, College Avenue Baptist Church sponsored another ICF in the San Diego State area, just a 10 minute walk from SDSU. While working at a computer company, I was asked to pioneer the new outreach. ICF South was “born” and has developed on a solid foundation and has matured through the power of Christ our Lord as the head of this fellowship. Today, ICF has grown and is one ministry that is effectively reaching out to the international students at SDSU, American Language Institute (ALI), Grossmont College, Mesa College, City College, National University, and Point Loma Nazarene University. Currently, I am working as full time ISI Campus staff. My responsibility is to shepherd the ICF ministry at San Diego, and to train the local American students in reaching other international students on campus in the San Diego area.
